We chose South Pointe for our kitchen remodel, as well as for new hardwood floor for the whole house. We interviewed over 7 other companies and felt SP provided the best value. They also:
1: showed up at the exact time scheduled for the initial meetings
2:Had a professional and easy to work with team
3: had a reasonable time line and budget.
Kudos to Gavin Sermon, and Silvino Salazar (our PM), who handled every situation calmly and kept the remodel on schedule. Job was finished on time and aside for extras we added throughout the process, there was no surprise up charges. We plan on using them again for our next project.

After 10.5 years of not living in our rental property we started the process of declaring it our primary residence again. Unfortunately part of making a cross country move smooth included needing the house to be updated and ready for our arrival as we wanted an instant move in once we arrived. We read several general contractor reviews online and set up a time to meet Bill from South Pointe at the home. We already had a declared punch list of must-have items to be completed, plus a list of bonus projects for him to bid on as a la carte items---all dependent on what the projected costs were. Bill walked the entire project with us and also made some recommendations. From the start Bill was professional and gave us a sense of trust as the project was in Fallbrook, CA and we currently lived in NC. A few days after meeting with Bill we received his bid, weighed all the options we had from each of the vendors we met with, and chose South Pointe. Much to our surprise we were able to get our entire required list of items accomplished, plus many items from our bonus project list, and several other items he had recommended. Bill managed the project and it started a week earlier than anticipated. South Point had a dumpster out front for materials being removed from the house and was courteous to have it removed as soon as
possible so that no neighbors or the community Homeowners Association were
bothered. The house had some updates completed to it 2.5 years prior after a house fire, but unfortunately the contractor we used at that time didn't finish all the projects as well as they should have been. Bill's team
corrected some previous ceiling drywall errors where the ceilings needed re-skim coated and painted for better appearances, they replaced and painted all the baseboards in the entire house, removed and replaced flooring,
removed and set 3 new toilets and a pedestal sink, painted the entire interior of the house and all closets, painted all the white trim in the
house (fireplace, interior doors, staircase/bannister), replaced a refrigerator water box, and replaced many exterior and interior electrical outlets. While we were still in town, but before South Pointe began work a
slow water leak in the kitchen was discovered that had previously been unreported. Unfortunately while we attempted to fix it matters got worse and the kitchen was flooded. We then had an insurance claim and South Pointe ensured the insurance company received an invoice detailing all the materials, their specs, and labor required to make the repairs associated with the claim. Numerous times Gavin from South Pointe worked directly with our insurance company to ensure the claim could be processed for
reimbursement, yet all the repairs were handled. The unplanned insurance claim was handled with ease. We were thoroughly impressed by South Pointe. While we were in NC we received pictures of the progress being made almost daily and a status of how the project was progressing. South Pointe proved
their trust and professionalism to us throughout the entire project and we never felt uneasy about them having a key to our home when we were not present. When we moved in things looks better than we could have imagined.
As constructive criticism we didn't understand why they put down the new flooring without first completing all of the painting projects.
Although everything looked great, we did have some minor clean up when we arrived where the painters tape for trimming wasn't adhered to the floor or baseboards sufficiently so we had to remove some paint from the flooring.
This is minor, but something to note as it would seem doing flooring last would lessen the chance of paint on new floor.
