I decided to use Go Green solar for my system.
Boy am I glad I did.
It was so great to have a company that has done this for so long. Their expertise was invaluable. I installed a system a few years ago for another home and It was so much harder. Their engineered plans were top notch. The county was thrilled to work with plans Go Green developed. I even decided on a change order and they re-designed the plans for me at no extra cost. I am 66 years old and it made my job so much easier.
Thank you to all the crew there, especially Raj.

After pursuing three different Solar Companies and receiving quotes for systems ranging from 8KW to no-quoting due to 'economically unfeasible', I decided to avoid the 'wild wild west' of the current solar installer market and go the DIY route. I reached out to Go Green Solar due to their reputation. Jackie, was to work with from the initial project configuration call all the way thru acting as a project manager.
Though I had considered doing this entirely myself, one of my big concerns and a big appeal of going with Go Green Solar, was their preparation of professional looking prints and interfacing with the local electric utility company (Eversource in CT).
Working with Josh, it took us three three revisions of the prints to satisfy the local building inspector. This was in part because Eversource had changed their installation requirements and requires direct tap into their service as opposed to back-feeding thru the home.
This required a new 170' trench 18" deep to be dug from the home to garden barn where the array was to be installed (no small feat, considering New England's bountiful boulders and ledge). Josh over-designed the electrical requirements to allow twice as many panels and recommended a second conduit for a fiber optic cable to bring internet to the IQ-Combiner box.
Mari and Mel worked with Eversource to secure the required project authorization and eventual connection. When the 'kit' arrived, I immediately unpacked it and performed an inventory just in case I was short a component. High marks to the Go Green Solar packaging team as every component down to the washer was counted out precisely!!! For those components not in the kit, the customized installation instructions included a shopping list of items (including hyperlinks) of where they could be found at the local big box home improvement center.
Installation of IQ-Combiner in our Garden Barn and PV panels on Iron Ridge racking mounted on a 42 degree standing seam metal roof was flawless. I was particularly was impressed with the Enphase IQ8+ microinverters: even without line voltage, the inverters indicate proper connection with the panel. As panels are added, the inverters flash a different code to indicate they are automatically connecting to the ad-hoc network over the 240V power line! No need to come back and remove panels to find an errant connection!!!
Once Eversource energized the array, I was able to connect the IQ-Combiner to the Enphase Cloud where Nirav was then able to finish the commissioning. 15 minutes later, we were back-feeding the grid, saving some money and saving the atmosphere some carbon!!!
Our grandkids will breath easier thanks to the good folks at Go Green Solar!
PS As with any project of this scale, it's good to be mechanically and electrically handy as well as have some very good friends like Bobby N and Ryan M to join you on a steep pitch metal roof during the panel install.

The Go Green Solar team was very helpful in helping me design my system, get me the parts and detailed plans, and follow through every step of the way. 10/10 recommend!

I just finished my installation and activation of my solar project on my home. I was very impressed with GoGreenSolar. Raj, Josh, Nirav, Elaine, and Pio walked me through each step of the process. Shipping was quick, and when I realized I was short a few pieces of hardware Josh got them sent out asap. The interconnection process was very easy, and didn't even have to wait a full day before PGE gave approval to turn on after final inspection. I am new to solar in general, but I do work in the electrical field on the controls side. The project can seem daunting i.e. drilling holes in your roof, but if you take your time, and watch a lot of youtube as well as the instructions GoGreen provides you can save a ton of money. I received a quote from another company that was almost twice what GoGreen came in at. That is some good sweat equity in my book. I didn't go with battery storage yet, but may look into it in the future. We'll see what N.E.M. 3 true up is like. Installation took me roughly one month working nights and weekends. Would have gone faster but we had a pretty wet March. It proved the flashing system works. :) In conclusion I am very happy with our purchase and look forward to seeing how much I don't have to give to PGE.

I had a great experience with Go Green solar. I do allot of DIY projects and construction projects. I would say you should have someone with construction experience to help you. Scariest part is drilling your 1st hole for roof bracket. Making sure you are hitting the Trusses. The hardest part was getting the solar panels on the roof, by myself. (Get help) or I found a very nice way with ladder rest brackets and heavy cardboard 2x4's on roof solar frame rails. Allowed me to slide panel up onto the roof. metal roof was easy but 5 plus times more supports. I will use Go Green Solar again if I ever have another solar project!
